The Lion Rick is born with a height of 495 meters, representing a “Lion Rock Spirit” of Hong Kong people — never give up. As one of the most famous and iconic mountain to Hong Kong, the mountain might not be the highest, but the lion rock offers speculator views on every sides, the north faces Tai Wai, the south side faces Kowloon and Hong Kong Island, the west side faces Lantau Island, and the east side faces Kowloon Peak, giving tourist a full view of Hong Kong.
According to traditional folktales, Kowloon used to have 9 dragon that is creating chaos in the city, then the heaven sent a lion to protect the city. Pat Sin Leng (another mountain) is transformed by 8 dragons that had been punished, and the last dragon is being stepped under the lion. The lion then turn into the Lion Rock, protecting the city from onwards.

路線規劃 / Hiking route
Little feedback: The Lion Rock has many hiking routes that can be the starting point, this time we are starting from the Lion Rock Park, easily heading to the Reunification Pavilion. From the Reunification Pavilion to the top of the Lion Rock offers a more challenging stone road (not crumbling rock, but you might need to climb with your hands as well). If you have enough energy you can keep hiking until you reach Shatin Pass Road and take a bus from Tsz Wan Shan, or head back to Reunification Pavilion and hike to Amah Rock (Another popular hiking route/landmark in Hong Kong), then down to Hung Mui Kuk Nature Trail to enjoy a completely different views.
